West suburban-based large benefits administrator seeks a Manager of New Business
Accounts who will develop, oversee and play an intricate role in the Fund’s new
business development team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the primary responsibilities
of this newly created position will include the development and delivery of strategic
marketing initiatives and presentations, coordination of operational activities required
for implementation of successful business relationships with both new business groups
and ongoing account relationships. Specifically, this individual will coordinate and
administer the Fund’s marketing initiative; identify and analyze new potential markets;
develop marketing and business plans and strategies for prospective business in conjunction
with the Fund’s overall business objectives; forecast, implement and monitor the operating
budget supporting this initiative; and planning, coordinating, developing, and delivering
presentations to prospective new clients. Further, s/he will coordinate all operational
activity to ensure smooth integration of new business groups into the Fund, including
ensuring the development and execution of a Collective Bargaining Agreement and ensuring
that all Fund operational departments implement systemic operations for system processing
purposes.
The qualified candidate will be a Bachelor’s degreed professional (ideally including a
Master’s degree, as well) with a minimum of 5 years of business development experience
for medium to large-sized clients in a managed care/health care or insurance environment.
S/he will, ideally, also have knowledge of defined benefit pension plans and ERISA
regulations and experience reviewing and working with Plan documents, as well as
Taft-Hartley experience. In addition to these requisite technical skills, this individual
will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
communicate with all levels of individuals under a variety of conditions and constraints,
as well as excellent marketing, presentation and project management skills. Compensation
will be commensurate with experience.
