Ohio-based foodservice company seeks Food Production Supervisor to join new
patient feeding division as the principal production representative for a
200-bed hospital in an internationally renowned hospital system. Under the
general direction of and in collaboration with the Executive Chef, this individual
will direct and coordinate all activities of the production associates in order
to prepare and deliver a finished food product, including the supervision and
management of all personnel. Specific responsibilities will include:

Assisting in all phases of daily operations and management of a contract food service account; |

Supervising all activity involved in the food production process, from preparation and cooking to presentation of the product to the patient; |

Managing and monitoring inventory, associate development, financial cost control, and customer/patient service; |
 |
Providing guidance and motivation to all management, supervisory and hourly personnel; |
 |
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards; |
 |
Maintaining quality customer/patient rapport; |
 |
Controlling account expenditures; |
 |
Designing and recommending improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity; |
 |
Striving for maximum utilization of account resources. |
The qualified candidate will have 3-5 years of comparable foodservice or
nutrition experience in a hospital environment and, ideally, will have a
Bachelors degree in the hospitality or culinary arts field. In addition,
s/he will have a strong knowledge of labor scheduling and staffing, sanitation/safety
and production. In addition to the requisite technical skills, excellent management,
guest services and communication skills are essential. Compensation will be commensurate
with experience, and performance appraisals will be administered on a semi-annual basis.
